Raising truly bilingual children in Paris
Discover the Power of a French–English Bilingual Education
Preschool children practice dance once a week. It’s an activity that allows children aged 2 to 6 to explore their bodies, rhythm, and creativity in a playful way. Dance promotes the development of both gross and fine motor skills, improving balance, coordination, and flexibility. The dance sessions are often based on simple movements, such as jumping, turning, bending, or imitating animals, and are accompanied by music to stimulate listening and rhythm perception.
Dance in preschool also helps children express their emotions, become aware of their bodies in space, and work in a group, which strengthens cooperation and socialization. Moreover, it enhances their creativity by inviting them to invent movements or stories through their bodies. It’s an activity that combines fun, motor learning, and personal expression, while being adapted to their age and abilities

Motor skills at École Bilingue Chardin are a priority for us. Indeed, they play a crucial role in the development of children, fostering their coordination, balance, and body awareness.
